Saúl Níguez: "Many of us tried to help João Félix, but if he doesn't want to..."

Saúl Níguez, a former Atlético de Madrid reference, guarantees that many "tried to help" João Félix to establish himself at the highest level, but leaves criticism of the attitude of the Portuguese international who moved to Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia.
Speaking to "Cadena COPE", the midfielder praises Félix's qualities, but leaves many comments.
"Football is a team game. João has the qualities to be an incredible player. But no matter how good you are, if you don't work, it's worthless. Talent without work is nothing. Many of us tried to help João, but he doesn't want to," he said.
Saúl, who recently moved to Flamengo, was one of Atlético's key players when Félix moved to the Spanish capital for €120 million. They played together for two seasons.
Félix has not been back in the Atlético de Madrid squad since January 2023. He was loaned to Chelsea and Barcelona before signing permanently for the "blues".
In London, he ended up being loaned to AC Milan in January of this year, a move that also proved unsuccessful. He has now moved permanently to Cristiano Ronaldo and Jorge Jesus' Al-Nassr for €30 million.
